Deputy Program Manager Opportunity

Bowhead is seeking a highly skilled Deputy Program Manager to support United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) in Tampa, Florida.

The successful candidate will provide enterprise-wide information technology (IT) services and distribution to USSOCOM and its respective Components and Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs) through a modern, flexible, scalable, performance-based service management and delivery framework.

The Enterprise Development, Application and Training service delivery environment is comprised of a series of interconnected IT systems whose purpose is the integration of information, applications and processes throughout USSOCOM's global operations as well as across Department of Defense (DoD) organizational boundaries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage complex technical programs, including profit and loss (P&L) responsibility.
  • Oversee fixed price contracts and program budgets.
  • Responsible for program growth, including marketing new technology or follow-on business acquisition.
  • Develop business opportunities within the current customer base and/or for new customers.
  • May be responsible for programs of a lesser dollar value if they are more complex or developmental in nature.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Eight (8+) years of experience managing a technical program.
  • Possess a minimum of five years of experience with IT Service Delivery using an ITIL/ITSM framework on projects similar in scope and complexity to the requirements of this position.
  • PMP or equivalent certification required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.
Physical Demands

Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds, stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time, twist, bend, and squat periodically.

Security Clearance Requirements

Must currently hold a security clearance at the Top Secret level; preferred to have Top Secret SCI. US Citizenship is a requirement for Top Secret clearance at this location.
