About the Role

As a seasoned Restaurant Operations Manager, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests. You will work closely with the General Manager to lead a best-in-class Front of House team in day-to-day operations, with a strong focus on Wine/Beverage knowledge.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruitment and Onboarding: Oversee and participate in candidate recruiting and onboarding processes to ensure a high-performing team.
  • Team Management: Train, schedule, and delegate work assignments to all FOH staff, ensuring seamless execution of service standards.
  • Customer Relationships: Develop positive customer relationships and address any guest concerns in a timely manner, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.
  • Wine and Beverage Knowledge: Display floor presence during service and assist guests with wine selection as needed, showcasing your expertise in wine and beverage knowledge.
  • Inventory Management: Execute ordering of supplies and products for the FOH team as needed, ensuring efficient inventory management.
  • Accountability and Compliance: Hold staff accountable to restaurant policies, service standards, and steps of service; administer fair and consistent corrective action when appropriate, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, county, and municipal regulations.
  • Cash Handling and Reconciliation: Control cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures in accordance with restaurant policies and procedures.
  • Team Development: Keep turnover at a minimum by creating a positive work environment, fostering a culture of excellence and growth.
  • Leadership: Oversee full floor operations in the absence of the General Manager, demonstrating leadership skills and expertise.
Ideal Experience
  • 5+ years of fast-paced, fine-dining management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of industry trends, POS systems, scheduling systems, and reporting tools.
  • Strong financial acumen with the proven ability to oversee cost control, inventory, labor, management, and profitability.
  • Weekends, nights, and holiday availability is a must.
  • Proven record of developing strong FOH teams.
  • WSET certifications preferred or certifications from another accredited wine institution preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of wine and wine service techniques.
