Job Summary

The Patient Flow Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient placement and assignment of patients within the hospital. This position requires strong communication and problem-solving skills to collaborate with various departments and resolve issues that impact patient flow.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Nursing and other clinical departments to determine the best placement of patients based on their clinical needs and the availability of services.
  • Act as a liaison between departments to facilitate the resolution of issues that affect patient flow.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient flow and bed utilization.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communication to patients, families, and healthcare teams.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED, required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. BSN preferred.
  • 2 years experience, required. Previous leadership and bed utilization experience is preferred.
  • Current RN license, required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, high level of problem solving and critical thinking skills to find solutions to difficult human, technical, clinical or administrative problems.
