Position Overview

As a Senior Claims Analyst in the Professional Liability domain, you will oversee and resolve intricate claims related to various specialty lines, including Errors & Omissions (E&O) and Directors & Officers (D&O). Your proficiency in professional lines claims will be essential for assessing coverage, liability, and damages, while ensuring that all claims are handled efficiently and accurately.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Annual Salary: $85,000 - $115,000 (commensurate with experience)
  • Hybrid work model

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a varied portfolio of high-stakes professional liability claims, including E&O, D&O, and other associated lines.
  • Analyze and interpret insurance policies to ascertain coverage, liability, and damages.
  • Conduct comprehensive investigations, which involve collecting evidence, interviewing relevant parties, and reviewing pertinent documentation.
  • Facilitate negotiations for settlements with claimants, legal representatives, and other involved parties, ensuring just and equitable outcomes.
  • Work in conjunction with legal advisors to handle litigated claims, including preparation for mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings.

Qualifications

  • Background in professional lines is essential.
  • Experience managing claims across the United States.
  • Ability to handle claims with values up to $500,000.
  • 5-7 years of experience in the insurance sector, with a minimum of 3 years in litigation.
  • A Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited institution may be considered as a complement to claims handling experience.
  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
