Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse/Surgical Technologist to join our team at Prevea Health. As a key member of our Ambulatory Surgery Center, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a smooth surgical experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and direct patient care in an individual operating room, assessing patient needs and developing individual plans of care.
  • Monitor patient and notify providers of any changes, providing emotional support and serving as a patient advocate.
  • Assist with positioning of the patient, monitor and record in the patient's Electronic Health Record (EHR) during surgery, and ensure all equipment in the room is functioning properly.
  • Maintain a clean and organized surgical suite, adhering to standards of care and infection control practices.
  • Communicate effectively with representatives, assistants, and other members of the OR suite to ensure a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Function effectively in emergency situations and when under stress, maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a Registered Nurse/Surgical Technologist in an Ambulatory Surgery Center.
  • Previous experience working on an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of professional nursing theory and practice to provide and evaluate patient care.
  • Knowledge of organizational policies, relations, and procedures to administer patient care.
  • Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care.
  • Ability to maintain quality control standards and react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
  • Ability to interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines and procedures and communicate clearly.
Licenses and Certifications:
  • RN with current Wisconsin license upon hire.
  • Current CPR Certification upon hire.
