About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms, providing exceptional patient care, and working collaboratively with our surgical team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain aseptic surgical environments, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and care.
  • Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during procedures, providing support and maintaining a sterile field.
  • Operate and maintain various types of equipment used in the operating room, ensuring optimal functionality and efficiency.
  • Transport patients and equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to hospital protocols and guidelines.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain and enhance your skills and knowledge in surgical technology.
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in Surgical Technology.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, push/pull with 30 pounds of force, and perform other physical demands of the role.
