Position Overview:

The Patient Services Representative is integral to supporting the mission and values of Northwestern Memorial Healthcare. This role is centered around delivering excellent customer service within a medical office environment, ensuring that patients and healthcare professionals receive comprehensive support both in-person and via telephone, while also managing essential administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet patients warmly, gather essential information, and oversee patient registration processes.
  • Maintain and update patient and organizational records, schedule appointments, and manage incoming patient inquiries.
  • Facilitate external testing for patients and serve as a liaison between patients and the healthcare practice.
  • Uphold patient safety and confidentiality in all responsibilities undertaken.
  • Prepare daily reconciliation reports and organize patient documentation efficiently.
  • Process medical record requests from various stakeholders.
Qualifications:

Essential:

  • High School diploma or equivalent qualification

Desirable:

  • Experience in medical office coding
  • Prior experience in a healthcare office or customer service position
