Automotive Title Administration Clerk

Position Overview: The Wholesale Title Clerk plays a crucial role in managing and processing vehicle titles within the automotive industry. This position is integral to ensuring accurate and efficient title transactions, contributing to the overall success of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organizes and categorizes documentation, including invoices and checks, to substantiate business transactions.
- Verifies and records details of financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in ledgers and digital databases.
- Conducts audits of invoices against purchase orders, resolving discrepancies and facilitating timely payments.
- Addresses issues raised by vendors or purchasing agents regarding payment processes.
- Calculates and documents charges, refunds, and costs associated with goods and services.
- Prepares and reviews vouchers, invoices, checks, and account statements for accuracy.
- Reconciles general ledger accounts with various financial registers.
- Generates cost reports, revenue statements, and balance sheets.
- Ensures timely reconciliation of bank statements.
- Monitors accounts payable and receivable to maintain up-to-date payment records.
- Identifies and resolves discrepancies in financial reports.
- Codes financial data for input into the company's processing systems.
- Reviews and interprets computer-generated reports, making necessary corrections.
- Provides assistance to employees, vendors, and clients regarding account inquiries and procedures.
- Maintains a clean and organized workspace.
- Participates in ongoing training and development.
- Accurately records hours worked in the company’s timekeeping system.
- Adheres to company policies and safety regulations.
- Demonstrates the company's core values in all aspects of work.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate Degree in Accounting preferred.
- Experience: Up to 3 years of relevant experience in a high-volume accounting environment.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn various accounting and inventory software.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Attendance: Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
Physical and Environmental Demands:
This position primarily involves desk work in an office setting, requiring regular interaction with team members and management.
