About the Role:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Wholesale Title Clerk to join our team at Hendrick Automotive Group. As a Wholesale Title Clerk, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our title and registration process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Document Management: Compile and sort documents, such as invoices and checks, substantiating business transactions.
- Transaction Verification: Verify and post details of business transactions, such as funds received and disbursed, and totals accounts to ledgers or computer spreadsheets and databases.
- Dispute Resolution: Audit invoices against purchase orders, research discrepancies, and approve for payment.
- Vendor Communication: Investigate problems that vendors or purchasing agents have with obtaining payment for bills.
- Financial Reporting: Compute and record charges, refunds, cost of lost or damaged goods, freight charges, rentals, and similar items.
- Record Keeping: Prepare vouchers, invoices, checks, account statements, reports, and other records, and review for accuracy.
- Account Reconciliation: Reconcile general ledger accounts with various registers.
- Financial Analysis: Extract general ledger information.
- Reporting and Compliance: Compile cost reports and revenue and balance sheets.
- Bank Statement Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements.
- Payment Monitoring: Monitor loans and accounts payable and receivable to ensure that payments are up to date.
- Problem Resolution: Reconcile report discrepancies and problems.
- Data Entry: Code data for input to financial data processing system according to company procedures.
- Report Review: Review, balance, and interpret computer reports, and make corrections.
- Customer Support: Assist employees, vendors, clients, or customers by answering questions related to accounts, procedures, and services.
- Work Environment: Maintain an organized, clean and safe work area.
- Training and Development: Participate in required training.
- Timekeeping: Record all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system.
- Compliance: Follow Safeguards rules and regulations.

- Safety: Observe all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties.

Requirements:

Education:
An Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous Accounting experience in a high volume environment desired. Strong organizational skills required.
Certifications and Licenses:
A valid Driver's License.
Computer Skills:
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Products. Ability to learn the Dealership Management System, Spreadsheet software, accounting software, and inventory software.
Communication Skills:
Ability to understand and follow instructions. Ability to communicate effectively with company personnel.
Attendance Expectations:
The position requires regular and predictable attendance. Scheduled shifts may include evening hours, weekends, and some holidays.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
Environment Demands:
Duties are performed primarily at a desk in an office setting. Work includes frequent clerical and administrative responsibilities and interaction with managers and employees.
Verbal and Writing Ability:
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
