Role Overview: The Sales Support Coordinator will collaborate closely with the Sales Support Manager and the team to enhance sales performance through essential administrative assistance. This role involves working in tandem with Academic Sales to collect data and facilitate communication between internal and external stakeholders. The coordinator will represent the team on projects related to sales and customer data, managing necessary system changes to support the sales teams and key accounts, ultimately aiming to boost sales of Global Academic across various markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Global Institutional Sales teams in achieving or surpassing sales targets for specific initiatives and annual territory goals.
- Coordinate with the Corporate Sales and Licensing team to create and distribute data for quotes as required.
- Utilize Salesforce to update account information and provide guidance on quote creation and order processing.
- Assist in processing trials as necessary.
- Facilitate the use of various databases, customer information, and title lists, while liaising with other departments to resolve customer inquiries.
- Assist in order processing using relevant systems.
Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate will possess:
- Previous experience in sales or sales administration roles.
- Experience in customer service roles is highly desirable.
- A solid understanding of the publishing industry, including its reporting needs and common challenges.
- Excellent organizational, administrative, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with various departments and levels of hierarchy.
- The capability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage time efficiently.
- A detail-oriented mindset and proficiency in the full MS Office Suite, with the ability to learn new software programs.
- Experience with Salesforce is advantageous but not mandatory.
