Position: Front Office Assistant

Location: Harvard, IL

Community Health Partnership of Illinois is a non-profit entity dedicated to delivering primary health services to migrant farmworkers and other medically underserved communities across northern and central Illinois. Our mission centers on providing quality, culturally sensitive health care services to our patients, caregivers, and partners within the communities we serve.

We are in search of a personable and detail-oriented Front Office Assistant. This role is pivotal in ensuring exceptional customer service for all visitors and guests to our facility. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication abilities, demonstrate effective multitasking skills, and maintain a professional appearance.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and assist guests and visitors upon their arrival
  • Handle and route phone calls with professionalism and courtesy
  • Keep the front desk area tidy and organized
  • Coordinate appointment scheduling and manage the office calendar
  • Support administrative functions such as filing, data entry, and photocopying
  • Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence
  • Maintain inventory of office supplies
  • Ensure visitor sign-in and sign-out procedures are followed
  • Assist with special projects and events as required

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in customer service or administrative support is preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Exhibit a professional and approachable demeanor
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is mandatory

Licenses & Certifications:

  • Valid driver's license and automobile insurance
  • CPR certification to be obtained within 90 days of employment and maintained thereafter
  • Annual OSHA/HIPAA training as per organizational guidelines
  • Annual TB testing as per organizational policy
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or waiver in accordance with organizational protocols
