Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Development Leader to engage and empower donors, volunteers, and staff in our mission through gifts of time, talent, and treasure. This role oversees all fundraising activities, including individual giving, corporate sponsorship, grant-writing, event planning, and planned-giving.

Main Responsibilities:

Lead the development team in devising and executing development plans and strategies, including annual fundraising goals and multi-year expansion plans.Serve as staff leader for the Development Committee Chair and engage committee members to expand our fundraising reach and impact.Prioritize and multitask to meet deadlines in a demanding environment, overseeing a 5-person team, including a Grantwriter, Development Associate, Communications Associate, Volunteer Manager, and Executive Director.Collaborate with volunteer leaders and the Executive Director to design and manage fundraising events and solicitations, ensuring donor recognition and appreciation.Analyze donor data to increase high-impact solicitations, identify new funding sources, and enhance online fundraising capabilities.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of proven fundraising experience, including direct management of a staff team of at least three in a non-profit setting.
  • B.A. or B.S. degree from a 4-year college; additional formal training appreciated.
  • Proven writing and verbal communication skills, analytical abilities, and people skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and be accountable for meeting deadlines in a demanding environment.
  • Experience with churches and church people, especially faith-motivated donors and church missions.
  • Extensive digital competency, including Internet, MS Office Suite, Adobe, and donor database experience.

Compensation: Starting salary range is $100,000-$110,000, determined by cumulative experience, relevant credentials, and tenure in similar positions.
