Construction Sales Specialist

Role Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Construction Sales Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in construction sales and demonstrate a strong commitment to achieving results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enhance sales by nurturing relationships with existing clients.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Build and maintain connections within both residential and commercial construction sectors.
- Expertly navigate the construction sales process: Capture, Prequalify, Assign, Take off, Estimate, Proposal, and Follow-up.
- Oversee all phases of the sales cycle from initial engagement to project closure.
- Exhibit effective time management by ensuring timely delivery of documents, including proposals and change orders.
- Meet or exceed monthly sales call targets within designated territories.
- Become well-versed in architectural specifications and construction design elements.
- Generate leads through cold calling, networking, and referrals.
- Conduct project inspections, scoping, photography, and estimations.
- Maintain acceptable profit margins on projects.
- Request and manage project documentation and information.
- Follow up on outstanding estimates with clients.
- Achieve sales quotas on a quarterly and annual basis.
- Demonstrate excellent public speaking and presentation skills.
- Exhibit strong time management capabilities.
Essential Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry or a related field.
- A book of business is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Strong organizational skills and self-motivation.
- Excellent communication and active listening abilities.
- Proficient in computer applications.
- Experience with Excel spreadsheets.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Proficient in Blue Beam software.
- Familiarity with CRM systems, SharePoint, and Microsoft 365.
- Experience with Salesforce is a plus.
Educational Background:
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction, Business, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- High School Diploma is essential.
- Strong comprehension of the construction industry is necessary.
