The **Cost Analysis Specialist** plays a pivotal role in crafting and implementing pricing strategies and cost estimates for our diverse range of services. This position serves as a vital link between various departments to ensure that our pricing proposals are not only accurate but also competitive, with a strong emphasis on product knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

The following duties are essential to this role, though additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed:
  • Act as a liaison with departments such as Business Development, Engineering, Procurement, Finance, and Operations to facilitate cost estimation and pricing efforts.
  • Develop comprehensive cost and pricing models while applying established cost estimating methodologies to formulate accurate estimates for new services.
  • Prepare detailed quotes and pricing proposals, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and documentation requirements.
  • Coordinate with Procurement to gather competitive vendor pricing and necessary documentation.
  • Analyze historical cost data to inform pricing strategies and identify key cost drivers.
  • Participate in proposal strategy sessions to provide insights on cost estimation and pricing.
  • Support audit processes by delivering detailed cost data and analysis.
  • Continuously refine cost estimating processes and tools to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with product teams to maintain accurate pricing for services.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and competitive pricing practices.
  • Prepare and present pricing analyses to stakeholders, including senior management.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of cost estimates and pricing strategies.
  • Assume additional responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications

The following qualifications are essential for this position:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in cost estimation and pricing.
  • Experience with federal proposals is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
  • Experience with cost estimating tools or software.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in developing pricing strategies for services.
  • Familiarity with advanced cost estimating techniques.
  • Knowledge of data analysis methods to enhance estimating accuracy.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience in writing compliant cost narratives.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems.
