The successful candidate will oversee the organization and its resources, ensuring sustainable support for the nonprofit sector moving forward.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organizational Leadership & Financial Stewardship: Direct all administrative and financial operations, including budget formulation, reporting, and compliance with human resources regulations.
  • Assist the Board of Directors in strategic planning and vision development.
  • Establish annual objectives and targets for the organization.
  • Guide and mentor staff and volunteers to ensure alignment with Philanthropy Northwest's mission and strategic goals.
  • Integrate Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility principles into all operational and programmatic frameworks.
  • Foster a culture of empathy, collaboration, transparency, and joy.

Board Development & Engagement:

  • Collaborate with the Board President and Executive Committee to recruit and support Board members.
  • Organize and facilitate quarterly Board meetings, ensuring active committee involvement in operations and programs.
  • Provide the Board with essential updates and governance tools.
  • Create an efficient engagement culture that maximizes Board effectiveness.

Program Implementation & Operational Excellence:

  • Guide funding decisions through both internal and external grant initiatives.
  • Lead grant and funding efforts with integrity, aligning with organizational priorities.
  • Stay informed on funding trends and best practices in philanthropy and grant-making.
  • Recruit and manage staff and volunteers to meet operational demands.

Public Representation & Community Collaboration:

  • Act as the primary advocate and representative of Philanthropy Northwest within the broader community.
  • Oversee all external communications and branding initiatives.
  • Partner with community organizations and funding entities to enhance the impact on the nonprofit sector.

Candidate Qualifications:

Required:

  • A strong commitment to the mission of Philanthropy Northwest.
  • A proven history of leadership, innovation, and collaborative efforts.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • A proactive approach that embraces continuous learning and adaptation.
  • Cultural awareness and a dedication to inclusive practices.
  • 7-10 years of relevant experience in nonprofit management, business, or communications.

  • Experience in financial management and stakeholder engagement.
  • Background in property management and hospitality.
