Commercial Banking Director

The Director, Commercial Banking is responsible for developing and executing commercial portfolio growth strategies, delivering an exceptional client experience, and leading teams to support the credit union's focus on serving businesses. This role will be based in-office out of our Crossroads location in Kansas City, MO.

• Develop and execute commercial portfolio growth strategies to achieve loan and deposit growth, member engagement, relationship profitability, and portfolio quality.
• Lead a team of commercial professionals to include recruiting, mentoring, developing individual skills, managing performance, and ensuring a positive culture experience.
• Collaborate with credit and operations teams to ensure effective sales process execution and build a strong culture within the commercial banking.
• Consult with business members, have an in-depth knowledge of credit and knowledge of business loan structure, and lead the team to produce high-quality loans.
• Develop and maintain a strong partnership with branches and other business lines within the credit union that result in referrals and an enhanced member experience.

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field of study.
• Advanced degree/certification in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field of study (preferred).
• 10 years' experience of diversified commercial lending experience, including both business development and credit with C&I, CRE, and construction/development knowledge.
• Leadership experience with 7+ years managing lenders and/or general bank management.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills, ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, and strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
