About the Role

The Assembly Operator Technician III position is a critical role on our team, offering a great opportunity for those looking to advance their skills.

Our plant produces thousands of dispensing products daily, and it's essential to keep it running efficiently and continuously.

The Assembly Operator Technician III ensures our equipment operates smoothly by setting up, optimizing production runs, and performing quality checks as needed for each machine.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the safe and efficient completion of the assembly process in a high-quality and repeatable manner.
  • Perform duties to complete a wide variety of complicated machine set-ups, including dip tube changes and mechanical parts changes.
  • Perform quality checks/audits during production runs through visual inspection and aligned with the quality plan.
  • Measure, examine, and test assembly units to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance conditions. Adjust machine or fixtures as necessary.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on Assembly machines to maintain production equipment and reduce downtime.
  • Identify efficiency improvement, cost savings, and quality improvement opportunities.
  • Participate in EH&S reviews.
  • Assist with CI activities as needed: root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of quality inspection results and production results.
  • Ensure outgoing products follow required specifications.
  • Escalate identified safety, quality, performance issues as needed.
  • Train and support others within the value stream.
  • Support machine disassembly.
  • Troubleshoot issues beyond basic resets, identifying incorrect machine messages and determining root cause/corrective actions.
  • Determine corrective actions on electrical parts or electrical-related issues.
  • Drive continuous improvement strategies.
  • Support on-time delivery by running assembly machines if needed.
Requirements
  • Basic shop math/computer skills.
  • Basic machine troubleshooting skills/ability to solve mechanical issues.
  • Willingness to assist other cross-functional groups based on needs.
  • Ability to work independently and be proactive.
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and report data based on machine performance.
  • Minimum high school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Ability to learn, grow, and adapt to changing business needs.
