Manufacturing Technician

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Technician to join our team in Thomaston, CT. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient completion of the assembly process in a high-quality and repeatable manner.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a wide variety of complicated machine set-ups, including dip tube changes and mechanical parts changes.
- Conduct quality checks and audits during production runs through visual inspection and alignment with the quality plan.
- Measure, examine, and test assembly units to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance conditions, making necessary adjustments.
- Perform preventive maintenance on assembly machines to maintain production equipment and reduce downtime.
- Identify efficiency improvement, cost savings, and quality improvement opportunities.
- Participate in EH&S reviews and assist with continuous improvement activities.
- Maintain accurate documentation of quality inspection results and production results.
- Ensure outgoing products follow required specifications.
- Escalate identified safety, quality, and performance issues as needed.
- Perform machine changeovers and diagnostics inspections, as well as generate ideas for continuous improvement.
- Support on-time delivery by running assembly machines if needed.
- Have basic shop math and computer skills.
- Possess basic machine troubleshooting skills and the ability to solve mechanical issues.
- Be willing to assist other cross-functional groups based on needs.
- Be able to work independently and be proactive.
- Have the ability to analyze, interpret, and report data based on machine performance.
- Have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED (preferred).
- Have the ability to learn, grow, and adapt to changing business needs.
- Have good oral and written communication skills.
