Meat Department Lead

Hannaford Supermarkets is seeking a skilled Meat Department Lead to oversee daily operations and ensure exceptional customer service. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading by example, promoting a positive work environment, and driving sales growth.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the meat department in the absence of the department manager and assistant manager, ensuring seamless operations and customer satisfaction.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and government regulations, maintaining a high level of integrity and professionalism.
- Utilize retail store systems to manage tasks, including management planning, scheduling, and inventory control.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, promoting a culture of respect, fairness, and open communication.
- Meet or exceed sales and productivity targets, driving business growth and customer loyalty.
- Stay up-to-date with product knowledge, including cooking procedures and meat cutting techniques.
- Assist in training and developing other associates, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to company standards and regulations.
- Support company safety initiatives, reporting any hazards or concerns to management.
- Ability to lead and direct others, with a strong focus on teamwork and collaboration.
- Meat cutting experience preferred, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques.
- Effective communication, customer service, and selling skills, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift cases weighing 40 lbs frequently and 100 lbs on occasion, with a focus on maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
Hannaford Supermarkets offers a competitive salary range of $31.60 per hour, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
