We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Meat Department Supervisor to join our team at Whole Foods Market. Key Responsibilities- Team Leadership: Supervise and delegate tasks to Meat Team Members, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless department operations.
- Training and Development: Work with the Team Trainer to train Team Members in a manner that builds and sustains a high-performance team and minimizes turnover.
- Customer Service: Resolve difficult customer situations, ensuring a positive and satisfying experience for all customers.
- Department Maintenance: Ensure all necessary breaks are given, and maintain awareness of customer flows and needs, directing Team Members as necessary to satisfy and delight customers.
- Performance Management: Select, train, develop, mentor, motivate, and counsel Team Members in a manner that sustains a high-performance team and minimizes turnover.
- Store Operations: Communicate and maintain Team Member safety and security standards, and provide timely, thorough, and thoughtful performance evaluations.
- Leadership Skills: Excellent communication skills, ability to lead and develop others, and demonstrated decision-making ability.
- Product Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of meat products, ability to communicate living conditions of animals to customers and Team Members, and thorough product knowledge.
- Regulatory Compliance: Advanced knowledge of regulatory and safety policies and procedures, and proficiency with operations-related applications.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand/walk for 6-8 hours, and work in a wet and cold environment.
As a Whole Foods Market Team Member, you will enjoy a competitive hourly rate of $24.10, commensurate with experience, and access to our comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan benefits, and paid time off.
