Hannaford Supermarkets is seeking a skilled Meat Department Lead to oversee daily operations and ensure exceptional customer service. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading by example, promoting a positive work environment, and driving sales growth.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the meat department in the absence of the department manager and assistant manager, ensuring seamless operations and adherence to company standards.
- Develop and maintain product knowledge, including cooking procedures, to provide expert advice to customers.
- Train and mentor other associates to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Monitor and maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, adhering to company sanitation and food safety standards.
- Collaborate with the management team to achieve sales goals and improve customer satisfaction.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of the meat department.
- Ability to lead and direct others, with a strong focus on teamwork and communication.
- Meat cutter experience preferred, with a proven track record of success in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Effective communication, customer service, and selling skills, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Ability to work in a team environment, with a strong focus on collaboration and mutual respect.
- Ability to lift cases weighing 40 lbs. frequently and 100 lbs. on occasion, with a strong focus on maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
