Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Meat Department Supervisor to join our team at Whole Foods Market. As a Meat Department Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising and delegating tasks to Meat Team Members, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining a high level of product knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and delegate tasks to Meat Team Members to ensure efficient and effective operation of the Meat Department.
- Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Maintain a high level of product knowledge, including meat products and their living conditions, to effectively communicate with customers and Team Members.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety policies and procedures, including proper handling and storage of meat products.
- Monitor and control inventory levels, managing stock and ordering supplies as needed.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve sales and customer satisfaction, working closely with the Store Leadership team.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and effective communication.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- 12+ months retail experience, preferably in a supervisory or management role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Strong product knowledge and ability to communicate effectively with customers and Team Members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on customer satisfaction and sales growth.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and operations-related applications.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
