Job Summary

The Behavioral Intervention Specialist provides consultation, coaching, and support to teachers and staff to enhance instructional and behavioral strategies for students with diverse needs. This role requires a strong understanding of applied behavioral sciences and experience in providing behavioral services in a school setting.

Responsibilities
  • Provide consultation and coaching to teachers and staff on instructional and behavioral strategies for students with diverse needs.
  • Develop and implement behavioral support plans to promote positive student behavior and reduce challenging behaviors.
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
  • Provide training and support to teachers and staff on behavioral management techniques and strategies.
  • Conduct observations and assessments to identify areas of need and develop strategies to support student success.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in applied behavioral sciences, psychology, social work, education, or a related field.
  • Three years of experience in providing behavioral services in a school setting.
  • Pupil Personnel Services Credential - School Psychology (Specialized - Behavior Analyst) or Education Specialist Instruction Credential - Mild/Moderate.
