About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant I to join our team at the Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine. As a Research Assistant I, you will play a critical role in supporting the laboratory of Dr. Irwin Lucki with the Department of Pharmacology at the Uniformed Services University in Bethesda, MD.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research projects, including data collection and organization, and follow standard operating procedures.
  • Perform data entry in a timely and accurate manner, maintaining clear and accurate records and inventories in accordance with Good Clinical and/or Good Laboratory practices.
  • Ensure proper cleanliness and sanitation in the laboratory, maintaining supplies and creating, collecting, and disseminating study data.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical reports, summaries, and protocols, and communicate detailed observations on experiments.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Minimum of 0-2 years experience required.
  • Knowledge of standard laboratory techniques and ability to follow detailed instructions.
  • Good communication and analytical skills, with experience working with laboratory rodents.
Work Environment

This position will take place primarily in a laboratory setting, requiring the ability to lift materials up to 25 lbs.
