We are seeking a highly motivated Research Psychologist I to join our esteemed team at the Center for the Study of Traumatic Stress (CSTS), one of the nation's leading academic institutions dedicated to trauma-informed research, leadership, and methodologies.

About the Role

As a Research Psychologist I, you will play a vital role in designing, developing, executing, and implementing scientific research projects focused on disasters, trauma, and suicidality. You will collaborate with a dedicated research team to contribute to groundbreaking advancements in our understanding of these critical issues.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development and implementation of innovative research methodologies for studies related to disasters, trauma, and suicidality.
  • Conduct basic behavioral science research and analyze data to contribute to meaningful findings.
  • Interpret and apply data analyses to inform research outcomes and contribute to publications and grant applications.
  • Provide support in the training of research assistants, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
  • Contribute to psychological support initiatives within specialized areas such as medical and surgical services.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A doctoral degree in psychology or a related field.
  • Experience conducting behavioral science research and data analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Familiarity with military healthcare systems and trauma-related research is highly desirable.
