Job Summary and Qualifications
This role supports the mission of Presbyterian/St. Luke's Medical Center, focusing on enhancing the quality of life for all individuals served by addressing the needs of the whole person beyond just medical requirements. The Surgery RN supervises and directs the care of surgical patients across all specialties. This position serves as the primary nurse, leading the collaboration of all disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care. The Surgery RN is responsible for overseeing and directing the care provided by assistive personnel, maintaining ultimate accountability for the care delivered to assigned patients. Additional duties may be assigned by the supervisor as needed.
Qualifications:
- Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or an active multistate Registered Nurse license.
- BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Minimum one year of experience in acute care OR required.
