Position Overview

As a Web Application Engineer at ENGIE, you will play a pivotal role in the development of innovative web and cloud solutions. Collaborating with a dedicated software development team, you will utilize the Microsoft .NET framework, Azure services, and Oracle PL/SQL to create cutting-edge applications. Your contributions will be vital in achieving the team's transformation objectives through the integration of advanced digital technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage in the design and development of web and cloud-based applications, ensuring high standards of quality and performance.
  • Report directly to the Director of Solution Delivery, aligning your efforts with the team's strategic goals.
  • Participate in code reviews and uphold established coding standards to enhance overall code quality.
  • Collaborate with product owners and system architects to test and refine new features, ensuring they meet user needs.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in C# and .NET frameworks, or Oracle PL/SQL. Alternatively, seven (7) years of relevant experience without a degree.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server, with a focus on optimizing database performance.
  • Familiarity with ETL tools and processes, enhancing data management capabilities.
  • Knowledge of Azure services, including Azure App Services, Azure SQL, and Azure Storage, to leverage cloud functionalities.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git, ensuring effective collaboration within the team.
  • Ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code, contributing to long-term project success.
  • Proven skills in troubleshooting and debugging applications, enhancing reliability and user experience.
  • Experience in developing complex PL/SQL scripts for effective data manipulation and validation.
  • Demonstrated expertise in data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
