About the Job:

The Application Engineer is responsible for supporting the Municipal water and wastewater markets in a defined sales region working through manufacturer's representatives and Regional Sales Managers (RSM). The product portfolio is defined as Capital Sales for Decanters, Belt Filter Presses, Gravity Belt Thickeners, and Rotary Drum Thickeners. Heavy emphasis on specification controlled, solution selling and value addition via IPA. Customers will include end users, consultants, and contractors. Support activities include technical equipment specification reviews, budgetary and firm pricing. Develops and maintains detailed working knowledge of our and our competitors' products technical features and how to use a specification to leverage our advantages/differences

  • Generates quotes for equipment and/or projects with our representative and RSM.
  • Requires extensive knowledge of Alfa Laval products & applications, determining costs to manufacture, and projecting delivery times.
  • Work with CRM database.
  • Maintains strong working relationship with process support, project management, and product specialists.

What you know:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (preferred)
  • Minimum 3 years relevant experience (preferred)
  • Recent graduates/ early in career candidates considered.

We rely on market indicators to determine compensation and consider your background, skills, and experience to get it right. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary and will also be dependent on your location. The overall salary range for this role is typically $80,000 to $100,000 base.
