Web Application Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to thoroughly understand essential business needs.
- Generate comprehensive reports documenting the status of the data repository, including a monthly overview of total file statistics and a weekly snapshot of incoming files.
- Prepare and deliver weekly reports for Ft. Stewart Demo, detailing file receipts from platforms involved in the demonstration to TACOM.
- Conduct rigorous quality assurance testing to ensure optimal system performance and efficiency.
- Design and implement enhancements to the data warehouse structure or introduce new features to adapt to evolving business needs, including methods to streamline auto-registration for files received from AMCOM.
- Oversee the maintenance of the organization's data warehouse infrastructure.
- Monitor data connections among stakeholders and provide support to address any disconnections.
- Identify automation opportunities for repetitive tasks within the warehouse to boost efficiency and minimize costs.
- Create metadata to facilitate the description of data sets for improved retrieval and analysis, including defining database structures for easy access by other applications.
- Extract data from the data warehouse and vantage to fulfill client requests.
- Evaluate client operations, applications, and programming to determine necessary database structural adjustments.
- Conduct peer reviews and offer guidance to developers throughout the development process.
- Review changes made by stakeholders to the database and provide constructive feedback and assistance.
- Support project managers in enabling platforms for Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM) by providing technical assistance, documentation, and data as needed.
- Ensure that files sent comply with ABCD specifications and guide project managers on achieving compliance.

Essential Skills:
- Familiarity with Web Service standards (SOAP, REST, WSDL, WS-I Basic Profile, WS-* extensions and standards).
- Experience with SOA stack, preferably Oracle (Enterprise Service Bus, rules engine, service broker, BPEL engine, metadata registry).
- Proficiency in XML standards (XML, XML Schema, XLST, XPath, XML Namespaces, XML parsing).
- Knowledge of Java Enterprise Edition (Enterprise Java Bean-3, JAX-Web Service, dependency injection, security frameworks, transaction framework).
- Experience in Army Logistics.
