Position Overview

The Patient Care Associate plays a vital role in delivering compassionate patient care and administrative assistance under the guidance of a Registered Nurse. This position is essential in upholding and enhancing patient care standards while ensuring a focus on patient and family-centered service excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for delivering patient care and ensuring comfort under the direct supervision of a registered nurse, adhering to established standards, policies, and procedures.
  2. Effectively communicates and reports pertinent information to the supervising registered nurse.
  3. Provides clerical support for assigned patients, assisting in the smooth operation of patient care activities.
  4. Completes all required technical skills and patient care tasks as delegated, in accordance with established patient care competencies.

Work Schedule: Rotating shifts including days, weekends, and holidays. 12-hour shifts (6:30 AM to 7:00 PM and 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM).

Weekly Hours: Full-Time, 36 hours.

Departments: Various units including Medical-Surgical, Innovation Unit (Orthopedic/Neurological), Post-Surgical (Wound Care), Dialysis/Pulmonary, and Cardiac Care.
