Position Overview:

As an Art Program Coordinator, you will work in tandem with the Gallery Director and Principal Auctioneer to develop and execute the art initiatives on cruise vessels.

Your main responsibility will be to generate leads and drive sales, promote the onboard art initiatives, and efficiently organize gallery displays and auction events while maintaining a positive demeanor and a strong work ethic.

Art Program Coordinators will receive daily performance feedback and participate in monthly assessments from their Principal Auctioneer. This role presents regular opportunities for enhanced earning potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and arrange art exhibitions in prominent areas to highlight the onboard gallery, capturing the interest of cruise passengers.
  • Engage with guests through informative dialogues, educate them about the onboard art initiatives and auctions, gauge their interest, and nurture sales opportunities.
  • Independently oversee the entire sales process.
  • Prepare client invoices and respond to inquiries regarding shipping, payments, and order processing.
  • Timeliness is Key: Ensure punctuality for guest-related events, as guests typically arrive ahead of schedule.
  • Participate in mandatory safety training and drills onboard.
  • Maintain a proactive approach by consistently promoting artworks, the gallery, and your personal brand.
  • Stay open to coaching and enhance your understanding of the program, the art collection, and operational logistics.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with shipboard management, crew, and staff while adhering to cruise line regulations.
  • Welcome both positive and constructive feedback.

Compensation Package:

This role offers accommodations, meals, and travel arrangements to and from ship assignments, providing entry-level Art Program Coordinators with a guaranteed weekly base salary. After the first month onboard, Art Program Coordinators become eligible for additional commissions based on performance metrics.
