Help Desk Services Specialist

Job Summary
Koniag Government Services is seeking a highly skilled Help Desk Services Specialist to support our government customer in Montgomery, AL. As a Help Desk Services Specialist, you will provide technical support for CPM FoS, utilizing government-provided computer and cell phones, and government-provided Virtual Private Network (VPN) and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI).
Key Responsibilities
Provide help desk support for CPM FoS during business hours, Monday through Friday, except for Federal holidays and base closures.
Provide on-call support outside of normal business hours, including holidays, using government-provided computer and cell phones.
Monitor CPM FoS discrepancy reports, providing possible workarounds and improvements to assist field users.
Document problem resolutions on functional and engineering solutions, providing a monthly analysis report with metrics on trouble call data, trends, and cumulative analysis.
Review and update government-provided tools for incidents daily.
Develop and maintain problem resolution solution sets on software defects.
Research software, documentation, and network-related connectivity issues, providing coordinated resolutions to requesters.
Requirements
Secret clearance required.
Ability to work in a professional office environment with moderate noise levels.
Strong technical skills, with experience in help desk support and software troubleshooting.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Working Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment with a moderate noise level. The incumbent is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations, and withstand moderate amounts of stress. The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
