Position Overview:
This role is dedicated to safeguarding against credit card fraud for both in-store and online transactions. Key responsibilities include analyzing and developing strategies to counteract emerging fraud patterns, collaborating with internal teams to assess chargeback statistics.

Additional duties encompass conducting verification processes for high-risk transactions and addressing inquiries from customers and retail locations regarding fraud prevention measures, as well as aiding in investigations and fulfilling special requests.


Core Responsibilities:
30% - Conduct regular assessments of transactions to detect fraud patterns and establish new fraud prevention protocols.

30% - Continuously evaluate and oversee existing fraud prevention measures while partnering with Fraud Data Analysts and Fraud Managers to refine and enhance these protocols.

20% - Engage with customers and offshore fraud teams through phone and email to resolve escalated transaction issues and customer concerns.


10% - Collaborate independently or with team members to create customized reports and presentations showcasing current and historical fraud activity.

10% - Work collaboratively with Asset Protection, Pro, Store Operations, and other teams to investigate fraud incidents and compromised accounts.

Job Scope:
This position reports directly to the Payments Fraud Manager.

This role does not include direct supervisory responsibilities.


Work Environment:


Setting:
Positioned in a comfortable indoor workspace with minimal exposure to unpleasant conditions.

Travel Requirements:
No travel is necessary for this role.

Work Schedule:
Wednesday to Saturday, 9 AM to 7 PM (4 days/week with 10-hour shifts and a 1-hour lunch break).

Minimum Qualifications:
Must be at least eighteen years of age.

Must possess legal authorization to work in the United States.

Required Skills:
Intermediate proficiency in Excel (including Pivot tables, COUNTIF/SUMIF functions, etc.).

Educational Background:


Typically acquired knowledge, skills, and abilities through the completion of a bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.


Relevant Experience:
0-2 years in a related field.

Certifications & Licenses:

Physical Demands:
Primarily sedentary work with frequent opportunities for movement. Occasionally, there may be a need to lift light items.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in developing fraud prevention strategies and recognizing fraud patterns.

Strong analytical mindset with the capability to identify trends and data discrepancies.

Familiarity with SQL and Business Intelligence tools (such as Tableau, PowerBI, Redshift, etc.).

Essential Skills and Competencies:
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, including customer service and interpersonal skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Detail-oriented with a logical and reasonable approach to tasks.
