Position Summary

This role presents an exciting opportunity to serve as a key resource in cash flow underwriting and credit analysis within the dynamic telecommunications sector. You will support a diverse sales team focused on expanding our profitable telecom portfolio through structured cash flow transactions with a variety of clients in a rapidly changing industry, including fiber transport, data centers, wireless, broadband, and traditional phone services. We seek a proactive, self-driven team player capable of identifying transaction risks, exercising sound credit judgment, and developing innovative financing solutions for a varied customer base.

As a Lead Credit Risk Analyst, you will assess the financial health and repayment capabilities of our most significant and complex commercial clients. You will evaluate the feasibility of borrower business plans by analyzing industry trends, competition, management, and overall financial structure. You will prepare comprehensive credit reports and present these findings to decision-making committees while advising account officers on optimal loan structures and management strategies. Additionally, you will take a leadership role in credit administration, collateral management, and compliance monitoring.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and structure financial proposals for senior management and committees to facilitate credit decisions for new, renewal, or extension loans.
  • Review relevant credit and financial data, determining the necessity for further investigation or additional information. Analyze financial statements and prepare summaries to present insights on creditworthiness.
  • Assist with credit administration, account servicing, and documentation processes.
  • Monitor current accounts for payment progress and compliance with covenants, providing timely updates to internal stakeholders.
  • Support the credit manager in internal research and analysis, preparing statistical reports and presentations as needed.
  • Utilize advanced tools for credit analysis and special projects.
  • May authorize loan advances and adjustments in collaboration with financial staff.
  • Maintain expertise in assigned industries, staying informed on trends and competitive landscapes.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of credit experience in the banking sector.
Preferred Skills
  • In-depth knowledge of complex lending and financial structuring.
  • Strong analytical skills in credit and financial analysis, including cash flow and balance sheet assessments.
  • Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and business law.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and preparation of pro forma statements.
  • Ability to perform discounted cash flow analysis and capital budgeting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally as required.
