Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician II to join our Ambulatory Pharmacy team at Cambridge Health Alliance. As a Pharmacy Technician II, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our pharmacy department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately create and maintain patient profiles in the pharmacy computer system.
  • Register patients and enter prescription orders into the system.
  • Assist patients, family members, and employees with prescription drop-offs and set appropriate pick-up expectations.
  • Support Ambulatory Pharmacists in filling prescription orders, compounding non-sterile products, and dispensing prescriptions.
  • Handle phone calls from patients and healthcare providers.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. certificate.
  • MA Pharmacy Technician license.
  • Current pharmacy technician registration in good standing from the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Pharmacy or eligibility for registration in MA.
  • Preferred: Completion of a Board of Pharmacy-approved certifying body pharmacy technician certification examination and minimum one year of experience as a pharmacy technician.
