Position Overview
This role involves significant responsibilities in the field of ecology and biology, focusing on the analysis of scientific data related to freshwater and marine ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret scientific information to support environmental initiatives.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and present findings to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with management to address program requirements and environmental issues.

Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following educational and experience requirements:
- A bachelor's or higher degree in biological sciences, ecology, or a related field.
- Specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 level, including data analysis and report preparation.
- Alternatively, candidates may qualify with three years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree.

Skills and Competencies
Successful candidates will demonstrate proficiency in:
- Applying ecological and biological knowledge to resolve complex technical challenges.
- Utilizing conflict resolution strategies effectively.
- Advising management on critical program requirements.
- Developing and revising guidance and policies related to water programs.
