Compliance and Accounting Coordinator

We are seeking a Compliance and Accounting Coordinator to join our team at Pennsylvania Machine Works.
Estimated Salary: $50,000 - $65,000 per year
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field and 1-2 years of experience in compliance and accounting operations. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post general ledger entries.
- Perform monthly reconciliations, bank, inventory, balance sheet accounts.
- Reconcile/research employee receivables.
- Post general ledger corrections and adjustments when necessary.
- Review and research variances in trial balance.
- Aid Controller with accounting/financial projects and presentations.
- Backup to Accounts Receivable/Account Payable; ensure GL coding is correct.
- Post cash receipts, process vendor invoices, process customer credit card payments, customer credit holds, etc.
- Process 1099's.
- Review manufacturing jobs for variances/closing.
- Observe and comply with all Company policies and regulations including safety, housekeeping, confidentiality of information and quality of work with support of ISO procedures and standards.
- Utilize individually and/or further the use of total quality concepts, tools and techniques to support continuous quality improvement in all processes in which the position participates with a positive 'Can Do' attitude.
- Support, encourage and maintain a positive team working atmosphere throughout the company.
- Perform other duties as requested or necessary to meet business conditions and changes.
- Meet and maintain all quantifiable standards of performance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in compliance and accounting operations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
