Role Summary: In the capacity of Cashier/Customer Service Representative at Global Partners, your primary responsibility will be to facilitate customer transactions, offer assistance, and ensure that each customer departs with a positive experience. Your contributions will be vital in fostering a welcoming environment and supporting our operational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Engagement:
    • Welcome customers with warmth and provide prompt, courteous service.
    • Assist customers with inquiries regarding products, services, and current promotions.
    • Address customer complaints and concerns professionally, ensuring satisfactory resolutions.
  • Transaction Management:
    • Process customer transactions accurately, including sales, returns, and exchanges.
    • Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with precision and efficiency.
    • Balance the cash register at the start and end of each shift, reporting any discrepancies.
  • Sales Assistance:
    • Inform customers about ongoing promotions, discounts, and special offers.
    • Encourage additional purchases through upselling and cross-selling techniques.
    • Assist in product placement, restocking, and maintaining an organized sales area.
  • Operational Duties:
    • Maintain accurate transaction records and ensure adherence to company policies.
    • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a seamless workflow.
    • Participate in inventory management, including stock assessments and replenishment.
  • Customer Relationship Building:
    • Develop and nurture strong relationships with customers to promote loyalty and repeat business.
    • Collect customer feedback to enhance products and services.
    • Contribute to a positive and professional workplace atmosphere.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in cashiering, customer service, or retail is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus.
  • Ability to handle transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Basic math skills and experience with cash handling.
  • A positive demeanor with a commitment to delivering outstanding service.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in customer service or related fields are advantageous.
