A Retail Cashier/Customer Service Floater is a versatile role designed for individuals who provide coverage across various store locations within a designated area. The work environment may change daily, allowing for diverse experiences. Cashier Floaters are essential in filling in for staff absences, vacations, or open positions.   • Shift: Full-time with variable store assignments.
  • Age Requirement: Must be 21 years or older.
Key Responsibilities as a Retail Cashier/Customer Service Floater:

In this role, you will be responsible for:
  • Welcoming every customer warmly, expressing gratitude for their patronage, and encouraging their return.
  • Delivering prompt and friendly service while providing accurate product information to enhance customer awareness of our offerings.
  • Processing sales transactions and merchandise, applying relevant discounts/promotions, and adhering to regulations concerning the sale of restricted items.
  • Accurately preparing cashier checkout reports in accordance with company policy.
  • Ensuring cleanliness and organization within and outside the store.
  • Properly labeling, rotating, and stocking products on shelves, coolers, and displays.
  • Maintaining safety and security protocols as outlined in the Safety Manual, and reporting any incidents to management immediately.
  • Understanding and following company policies and procedures diligently.
  • When applicable, assisting customers with fueling their vehicles, checking fluids, and cleaning windows as needed.
  • Ensuring compliance with sanitation and food handling procedures.
  • For Floaters: Reconciling daily paperwork and completing deposits when covering shifts.
  • Performing additional tasks as assigned.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • Must be of legal age to sell restricted products, including alcohol and tobacco.
  • Exhibit a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
  • Possess excellent communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts to meet the demands of a 24/7 operation, including nights, holidays, and weekends.
  • Previous experience in retail or cashier roles is preferred.
  • Demonstrate leadership qualities and a commitment to ethical practices.
  • Strong teamwork skills; we collaborate to achieve our goals.
  • Reliable transportation is necessary to support travel between multiple locations.
  • In Nevada, must be of legal age to work in establishments with gaming machines.

Physical Requirements: Candidates must be able to stand for extended periods. The role involves frequent standing, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching. Ability to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds regularly and up to 65 pounds occasionally is required. Work conditions may include exposure to heat, cold, allergens, noise, and fumes from cleaning agents and gasoline.
