Position Summary: The Service Operations Manager plays a crucial role in supervising the service and repair processes for vehicles at the dealership. This position encompasses responsibilities related to operational efficiency, profitability, staff management, and ensuring customer satisfaction within the service department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert guidance on technical inquiries regarding vehicle issues, warranties, services, and repairs.
  • Manage service orders and oversee the workflow in the service department.
  • Assist in diagnosing vehicle issues and determining necessary repairs.
  • Order parts and tools as required for service operations.
  • Administer warranty claims and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Lead training and supervision of service department personnel.
  • Collaborate with upper management and Human Resources for hiring and disciplinary actions.
  • Establish work schedules and assign tasks to service team members.
  • Maintain strong relationships with manufacturers and suppliers.
  • Participate in mandatory management meetings and training sessions.
  • Foster positive employee relations and maintain high standards of customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
  • Accurately record hours worked in the company timekeeping system.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and company policies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to perform essential duties effectively. The following qualifications are preferred:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; higher education in a relevant field is advantageous.
  • Experience in automotive service or related technical fields.
  • Management or supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a thorough understanding of automotive systems.
  • Valid Driver's License is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and dealership management systems.
