Project Director Strategic Execution and Partnerships

Job Summary:

The Project Director Strategic Execution and Partnerships will be responsible for managing projects and ensuring process discipline in support of BCBSA's critical, cross-functional business initiatives. This role will provide internal business owners with day-to-day project management support, including tracking progress toward deliverables, managing and escalating risks, and ensuring effective communication across teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide project management support to internal business owners, including tracking progress toward deliverables, managing and escalating risks, and ensuring effective communication across teams.
  • Partner with business owners in monitoring and managing consistent business performance measurement processes, including Objectives and Key Results and RACI models.
  • Use reporting tools and support Strategic Execution and Partnerships leadership in pacing executive leadership.
  • Translate project content to create compelling presentation materials for internal leadership and BCBSA governing bodies.
  • Proactively identify inefficiencies and champion continuous process improvement.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8 years of project management experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year managing multiple projects.
  • Experience in directing and mentoring program and/or project managers.
  • Experience working in healthcare and/or a regulated industry.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with different project management principles and techniques.
  • Knowledge and expertise in the use of Project Management tools and change management techniques.
  • Superior analytical skills to support quality decision making in support of projects.
  • Outstanding communications skills, ability to effectively present concepts and issues for both business and technical audiences.
  • Outstanding organizational skills to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work independently, attention to detail, and very strong customer service orientation.
