Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Director of Patient Accounts to lead our operations and relationships at assigned hospitals. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing revenue, expense, and income, as well as staff development and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor patient applications and quality/quantity metrics
  • Process billing reports and ensure timely and accurate data entry
  • Review and approve lien filed and denial reports for assigned facilities, with monthly audits to ensure compliance
  • Develop and implement quality reports to minimize accounts receivable days
  • Review and approve inpatient accounts denials, and escalate/resolve hospital/state agency issues
  • Ensure adherence to company SOPs and address variances in a timely manner
  • Provide constructive and corrective action to staff, in collaboration with HR
  • Train new and current staff, and conduct quarterly staffing reviews to recommend promotions or adjustments
  • Coverage for staff leave and absence, and organize quarterly meetings with the VP
  • Participate in quarterly facility audits, and develop staff appreciation activities

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with a proven track record of managing large employee teams and multiple client environments
  • Appropriate use of confidential information, and experience with debt settlement negotiation is a plus
  • Establish qualitative and quantitative employee measures and feedback processes
  • Travel approximately 25% of the time, with office equipment and computer proficiency
  • Reside in or be willing to relocate to the Houston, TX area
