About the Role

Integrated Power Services is seeking a skilled Electromechanical Equipment Rewinder to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our electromechanical equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Rewind various kinds of electromechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend equipment lifespan
  • Dismantle and/or strip damaged or unserviceable electromechanical equipment, including media blasting, to identify and repair or replace faulty components
  • Inspect electromechanical equipment for winding damage and evidence of electrical malfunctions to prevent downtime and ensure safe operation
  • Document and record all relevant data specific to the units electromagnetic characteristics, operating conditions, existing damage, or intended serviceability to maintain accurate records and support quality control
  • Prepare reusable parts for rewinding and inspect renewed parts for hidden, structural damage or unusual conditions to ensure quality and reliability
  • Test rewound electromechanical equipment according to EASA Standards and document test results to ensure compliance and quality

Requirements

  • Experience in rewinding AC and DC electric motors, with a strong understanding of winding fields, armatures, and synchronous rotor poles
  • Ability to perform basic math functions, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, including understanding fractions, to accurately calculate and record data
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple to moderately complex written and verbal instructions to understand and follow procedures
  • Ability to understand, perform, and retain various job-related training, operational, and safety procedures to ensure compliance and quality
  • Ability to operate and perform VPI, as well as operate machinery and hoists, to safely and efficiently perform tasks
  • Ability to exercise initiative, judgment, and decision-making related to routine duties within set company standards to ensure quality and reliability
  • Ability to work overtime as needed to meet business demands and ensure timely completion of tasks
