We are seeking a highly skilled Electromechanical Equipment Rewinder to join our team at Integrated Power Services. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our electromechanical equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Rewind various kinds of electromechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend lifespan.
- Dismantle and/or strip damaged or unserviceable electromechanical equipment, including media blasting, to identify and repair or replace faulty components.
- Inspect electromechanical equipment for winding damage and evidence of electrical malfunctions, documenting all relevant data and test results.
- Prepare reusable parts for rewinding and inspect renewed parts for hidden, structural damage or unusual conditions.
- Test rewound electromechanical equipment according to industry standards and document test results.
- Experience in rewinding AC and DC electric motors, with a strong understanding of winding fields, armatures, and synchronous rotor poles.
- Ability to perform basic math functions, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, as well as understand fractions.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple to moderately complex written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to understand, perform, and retain various job-related training, operational, and safety procedures.
- Ability to operate and perform VPI (Vacuum Pressure Impregnation) and other machinery and hoists.
- Ability to work overtime as needed and exercise initiative, judgment, and decision-making related to routine duties within set company standards.
