Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to join our team at Henry Ford Health System. As a key member of our perioperative care team, you will be responsible for administering anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical procedures, obstetrical deliveries, and other medical and dental procedures.
ResponsibilitiesLeadership and Collaboration- Provide leadership in the professional practice setting, supporting and contributing to the professional development of peers and colleagues.
- Collaborate with the anesthesia/surgeon/perioperative team to identify patient problems and select appropriate interventions.
- Interact with members of the healthcare team to plan and coordinate perioperative care.
- Conduct pre-anesthetic assessments and document findings.
- Determine the appropriate anesthetic plan of management in collaboration with the anesthesiologist.
- Administer intravenous, inhalation, and regional anesthetics to render patients insensible to pain during surgical procedures.
- Provide airway management services as needed throughout the hospital.
- Use and document the nursing process to plan, deliver, and evaluate goal-focused, individualized, safe, age-specific care for all patients.
- Seek to understand and incorporate safe practices and evidence-based practices into daily nursing care.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory standards regarding practice, environment, and patient care.
- Provide education for staff, colleagues, patients, and families on anesthesia care and related topics.
- Participate in quality improvement/patient safety initiatives and programs.
- Integrate research findings into practice.
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and anesthesia.
- Master's degree required.
- Ability to work harmoniously in collaborative situations with anesthesiologists and other healthcare providers.
- State of Michigan RN License, State Specialty Certification, CRNA Certification, ALS Certification, and BLS Certification required.
