Certified Nurse Anesthetist

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to join our team at Henry Ford Health System. As a key member of our perioperative care team, you will be responsible for administering anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical procedures, obstetrical deliveries, and other medical and dental procedures.
ResponsibilitiesLeadership and Collaboration- Provide leadership in the professional practice setting, supporting and contributing to the professional development of peers and colleagues.
- Collaborate with the anesthesia/surgeon/perioperative team to plan and coordinate perioperative care.
- Administer intravenous, inhalation, and regional anesthetics to render patients insensible to pain during surgical procedures.
- Conduct pre-anesthetic assessments and document findings.
- Manage all aspects of anesthesia care, including preoperative, perioperative, and immediate postoperative care.
- Maintain complete and accurate documentation of care for all procedures.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care.
- Independently use and document the nursing process to plan, deliver, and evaluate goal-focused, individualized, safe, age-specific care for all patients.
- Seek to understand and incorporate safe practices and evidence-based practices into daily nursing care.
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and anesthesia.
- Master's degree required.
- State of Michigan RN License and CRNA Certification required.
- 2-3 years' experience in nurse anesthesia.
- Ability to work harmoniously in collaborative situations with anesthesiologists and other healthcare providers.
- Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Frequent walking, bending, lifting may be required to perform duties. Work is generally in an operating room environment, but can be in Radiology, ICU, ER, or wherever nurse anesthesia services are required in the hospital.
