Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to join our team at Ascension Michigan. As a key member of our anesthesia care team, you will be responsible for administering anesthetic care to patients undergoing diagnostic, therapeutic, and surgical procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Administer anesthetic care to patients, including pre-anesthetic assessment, evaluation, and post-anesthesia follow-up evaluation and care.
  • Develop and implement anesthetic plans of care, including monitoring modalities and post-anesthesia follow-up evaluation and care.
  • Select, obtain, and administer anesthetic agents, including induction, maintenance, and emergence phase anesthesia.
  • Recognize alterations in physiologic responses to surgical procedures and/or anesthetic agents, take appropriate action, and notify responsible physicians as indicated.
Requirements
  • Nurse Anesthetist credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Nurse Anesthetist credentialed from the National Board of Certification and Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.
  • Master's or Doctorate of Nursing Anesthesia Practice or Nursing Practice required.
