HUMAN RESOURCES COORDINATOR

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology is seeking a dedicated Human Resources Coordinator to deliver comprehensive HR services and support within the Computer Sciences and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL). This role involves the coordination of HR functions and the provision of expert advice on policies, procedures, and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Facilitate HR activities including recruitment, employee relations, and onboarding.
2. Provide guidance on HR policy interpretation and maintain personnel records.
3. Assist faculty and management in navigating HR-related issues and processes.
4. Perform a variety of HR-related tasks to support the department's needs.

Job Requirements:
REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related discipline.
- Minimum of two years of direct HR experience in areas such as recruitment, employee relations, and performance management.
- Proficient understanding of HR policies, regulations, and employment laws.
- Strong discretion in handling confidential information.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR management systems.

Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to build trust and credibility, respond effectively to individuals at all levels, and collaborate in a team-oriented environment. They will also be adept at anticipating challenges and independently seeking solutions, while managing multiple priorities and keeping stakeholders informed.

PREFERRED:
- Experience with applicant tracking systems and performance management tools.
- Skills in analyzing and enhancing HR processes.
- Knowledge of employment laws at various governmental levels.
- Project management capabilities.
