Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled PowerBuilder Developer to join our esteemed client in the technology sector.


We accommodate both W2 and corp-to-corp consultants. For our W2 consultants, we provide an attractive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401k plan with company matching, and life insurance.
Compensation: $40 - $50 / hr. W2

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance and sustain a critical application for our client.
  • Develop and test data windows to replace over 100 outdated sample test result spreadsheet formats previously created with a legacy third-party software tool.
  • Implement bug fixes and functional improvements to the existing system.
  • Design SharePoint and web-based solutions to facilitate Preconstruction and Scoping business processes that are essential to the transportation lifecycle.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a PowerBuilder developer utilizing PB10 or more recent versions.
  • Proficient SQL skills (experience with Sybase database is a plus, but SQL skills in any database platform are acceptable).
  • Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Experience with the standard software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, unit and system testing, and quality assurance testing, as well as experience in business process transformation.
  • Excellent analytical, conceptual, and technical abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills combined with a self-motivated work ethic.
  • Ability to work with a custom base-class.
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey business processes to IT users and IT applications to business users.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in C# development.
  • Experience in Java development.
  • Familiarity with coding stored procedures and triggers (any database).
  • Experience in a Visual Studio development environment.
  • Data conversion experience.

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be taken into account when determining the pay rate. The provided pay range reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that could result in compensation outside of the stated range.

W2 employees of Eliassen Group who are regularly scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week are eligible for various benefits, including medical (with a choice of three plans), dental, vision, pre-tax accounts, and other voluntary benefits such as life and disability insurance, a 401(k) plan with matching, and sick leave as required by law in the respective state/locality.
