Compensation: $40 - $50 per hour (W2)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance and maintain a critical application.
  • Develop and test data windows to replace over 100 outdated spreadsheet formats that were created using a legacy third-party software tool.
  • Implement bug fixes and other functional improvements to the system.
  • Design SharePoint and web-based solutions to facilitate Preconstruction and Scoping business processes that are essential to the transportation lifecycle.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a PowerBuilder developer utilizing PB10 or later versions.
  • Proficient SQL skills (experience with Sybase database is preferred, but SQL expertise in any database platform is acceptable).
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Suite, especially Excel.
  • Familiarity with the standard development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, unit and system testing, and quality assurance testing, along with experience in business process transformation.
  • Excellent analytical, conceptual, and technical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills combined with a self-motivated work ethic.
  • Ability to work with a custom base-class.
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to articulate business processes to IT users and IT applications to business users.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Development experience in C#.
  • Development experience in Java.
  • Experience in coding stored procedures and triggers (any database).
  • Experience developing in a Visual Studio environment.
  • Data conversion experience.

Compensation will be determined based on skills, experience, and other compensable factors. The pay range provided reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in compensation outside of the provided range.

W2 employees of Eliassen Group who are regularly scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including medical (with a choice of three plans), dental, vision, pre-tax accounts, and other voluntary benefits such as life and disability insurance, a 401(k) plan with matching, and sick time as required by law.
